Kia Brake Parts in South Africa

Your Kia's braking system is the most safety-critical service line on the vehicle, and on SA roads it works harder than the brochure ever suggested — long downhill stretches, summer thunderstorm stop-starts, and load-carrying duties on the K2700, Carnival and Sorento. Every Kia from the Picanto upwards now ships with four-wheel ABS, EBD and (on most current models) ESC/VSM — meaning the braking category covers far more than pads and discs. Brake feel that has gone wooden, a pedal that travels too far, or a flashing ABS light are all signals that something in this system needs attention, and used dealer-removed components paired with new wear items give you near-OEM stopping at a fraction of the dealer parts bill.

What sits in this category. We stock brake calipers (front and rear, single-piston and twin-piston), brake discs and rotors (ventilated front, solid or vented rear, drilled and slotted upgrade variants), brake pad sets, brake boosters with integrated vacuum hoses, master cylinders and reservoir bottles, ABS modules and ABS pump units, hand-brake cables, drum brake shoes for the older Picanto and Rio rear axles, and the smaller hardware — caliper slide pins, anti-rattle clips, hub caps and brake hoses. Performance variants like the GT-Line Cerato and Sportage GT-Line use larger front discs and uprated calipers — those we stock too.

Kia-specific failure patterns

Kia-specific failure patterns. The Sportage SL ABS module is a known weak point — once moisture finds its way past the connector seal the module faults intermittently, and a new dealer replacement is north of R12 000. Our tested used units are a fraction of that. The Sorento UM rear caliper electric park-brake motor seizes after long unused periods. The Carnival rear-axle brake components corrode in coastal climates, and the Picanto front caliper slide pins are prone to seizing without regular greasing. The Cerato master cylinder weeps internally as it ages, and shows up as a slowly sinking pedal.

Which Kia models we cover. Brake parts ship every week for the Picanto, Rio, Cerato, Sportage, Seltos, Sonet, Sorento, Carnival and K2700, plus the less common Soul, Carens, Optima, Pegas, Venga, Niro, EV6 and Sedona. Used ABS modules are matched by part number and chassis code — give us your VIN to avoid coding hassles at fitment.
